Welcome to day 2. You can start by watching the Video for today’s agenda.
English Language Arts:
Vocabulary:
Watch the WORD WEB video.
Print out the WORD WEB and use the first word on your Spelling/Vocabulary list to visually map it out. You will find the WORD WEB worksheet posted below in the attached file. The first word you will ‘map’ out is Wolf. You may also use the term “wolves” as it is a variation of that same word. In fact, it is the plural form of that word.
Grammar:
We will be working on Plural versus Singular Nouns today. First, with my lesson video on the subject. Next, follow the links listed below for the Khan Academy website and get started on the video modules and follow up questions for this section. Finally, when you are finished with instruction, proceed on to the Plural Nouns worksheet attached in the file.
Reading:
Watch the Story Read Aloud Video posted for The Lightning Thief. Then proceed to the assigned Khan Academy Reading Assignments listed below. *Note: there are different expectations for 4th and 5th grade.
For My 4th Graders, you will be reading Helpful Hauntings. Follow the link below and respond to the follow up question prompts. (If you are an AP student, and you know who you are, go ahead and complete the 5th grade Reading assignment).
For my 5th graders, you will be reading a passage called the Speed of Destiny. Read the passage and then answer the questions. For AP students, you may go ahead and peruse the 6th grade curriculum for an extra challenge, but only if and when you complete the assigned work here.
Math
Our objective is to revisit multiplying with estimates. First watch the video tutorial I provide, then proceed to Khan Academy and finish the assignment given to you on this subject. To access the Math assignment, double click onto the link below.
