Read Chapter 9. Hand write out the dictionary definitions of each vocabulary word. Write each vocab word five times. Take a photo of your definitions and words and send to Mr. Barbero at jbarbero@davincitree.academy.

Science - Answer the following questions and send your responses to Mr. Barbero at jbarbero@davincitree.academy.

1. How does the buoyant force affect a submerged object?

2. How does Archimedes' principle relate the buoyant force acting on an object to the fluid displaced by the object?

3. How can you use the density of an object to predict whether it will float or sink in water? 

 4. An object that weighs 340 N is floating on a lake. What is the buoyant force on it? What is the weight of the displaced water?
