Zero Hour Technology and Art Classes

We are excited to offer our Zero Hour Technology and Art Classes! These classes are unique to Da Vinci Tree and are exceptional for the following:

Each course is taught by a real industry professional, not an amateur teacher!
Complex course materials are presented in an introductory way students can understand.
Tools/Apps used in these courses are similar or the same as those used by many professionals.
The $20 enrollment donation covers all three courses. An incredible value by any measure.

Coursework is presented live and remotely by instructors from the firm Tribal Lanka. A Da Vinci Tree staff member assists the students in logging into their virtual meeting on the computer and is present at all times to be sure students are on task. Students engage and interact with instructors and each other as they learn new skills and receive real-time feedback from instructors.

This is a proven method to teach students professional technical and artistic skills. Last year, Da Vinci Tree ran a five month pilot with Tribal Lanka to test the efficacy of this kind of class with elementary and middle school students. This pilot was a success and we are pleased to be able to offer this fantastic resource as an option for all of our students!

Students are encouraged to sign up and attend a trial day. The trial day is free, and if students decide that the class is not for them they are free to drop the class at that time. If the student is excited to learn the subject and would like to continue to attend the class, after they complete their second day of instruction they will have the class added to their Infinite Campus grade book and the class will show up on their report card.

Providing these amazing courses does not come cheap. Da Vinci Tree Academy is investing almost $50,000 into this program to be able to offer our students this opportunity. We are asking for a $20 donation from each student to show their commitment to the program.

By signing below, I agree to the following: 1. I understand that the first Zero Hour Class is free and that my student can drop out after taking it. 2. I understand and accept that by completing this form and having my student attend the second class, I am signing my student up for the chosen classes above. 3. I agree that by signing up for this/these classes my student will have these grades added to their report card. 4. I understand and accept that once signed up, my student may not drop out of the course until the end of a trimester. 5. I agree to pay the $20 donation if my student signs up for zero hour classes. 6. I understand and accept that in order to effectively communicate with their instructors, students in this program must use a school-issued email. While this account is maintained by the school, the school does not have the resources to actively police these email accounts on a regular basis. Students will have the potential to send and receive email from any address, which has certain inherit risks. By signing up for this program, I accept these risks.
