Vocabulary:

Let’s review the rule for silent “e” with the vowel O.  

To do this, watch the youtube video posted below.  

Then smile, and write out each of your Vocabulary words into a sentence.  (ha, ha… I just used one of your Vocabulary words in a sentence. Smile:).  

P.S. Make sure that the spelling is correct.

Writing:

For writing today I’d like you to consider the quote from the Declaration of Independence that, “all men are created equal”.  

Address the following:

  1. What do you think this quote meant for the time period it was written? (ie; the late 1700’s)   

  2. What does this quote mean currently in the year 2020?  

  3. How have our feelings,  the law, and a person's rights, regarding equality changed over time?  

Reading:

We will continue to work on our Division skills.  Today we will be practicing division with remainders.

Then try your hand at a few on your own.  You will complete the remainder of the word problems I presented in the video. 

Complete numbers 3-6 on your own sheet of paper, then scan and return to me by email.
