Vocabulary
We will continue on with silent “e” words. First, I would like to review the silent “e” rule with you. Then check out the new Vocabulary list that is included in the attachment and finish that assignment. Simply write the words out correctly.
Reading
We will be reading “The Lightning Thief”. We left off on chapter 17, page 269. Percy, Annabeth, and Grober are on their way through Death Valley to the Santa Monica Pier, and from there, the underworld. Percy has only one day until the summer solstice. That means he only has one day to save the world! Can he do it? What, or even who is waiting for him in the Underworld? And is he prepared? Watch the video below to find more!

Social Studies
Today we will take a quick look back on all we have learned so far. Then we will begin to look at how the powers of government are set up to be fair and balanced. To do this, we will cover the purpose of each of the 3 branches of government. After you have watched both videos, print the worksheet at the bottom of the page and get started!
Math
Head on over to Khan Academy by following the links indicated below. You will continue with division and your understanding of how to work with remainders. After watching the “how to” videos, you will solve a few problems on your own by putting word problems into equations and then solving.
