Agenda
Welcome back for week 7. I have something fun and new for you. I’ve created an interactive Virtual Classroom for you to access your video lessons, readings, etc.
Copy and paste the first link below into your address bar and Mrs. Lee’s Virtual Class will upload. My Virtual Classroom should appear.
You can interact within the classroom by clicking onto the numbers 1-6.
Attached to the numbers will be hyperlinks for you to press on and it will take you to a video for that particular subject. (ie; if you click onto number 1 next to my avatar a link will pop up and you can click on it to watch a greeting video. Videos for each subject will be posted there for other subjects as well).
To get started, copy and paste the address listed below into your web browser. (Traditional format is also below, if you prefer to get to videos in that way).
Vocabulary:
We have a new homophone word set for you this week. Download the attached Vocabulary list at the bottom of the page and get started by writing out each word 3x. Then use your word web for the words Pause and Paws.
Reading:
We will continue reading from The Lightning Thief. Join me by clicking on the link below.
Science:
Today we’re going to continue our exploration and learning of various biomes. We have already learned about the desert. Today we will learn about the Arctic Tundra. You will watch a presentation and then take a “Field Trip” virtual style to watch animals in their natural habitat.
We will head out North bound and travel approximately 2,900 miles North up to the Arctic Tundra, to check out this amazingly pristine, diverse and wondrous biome.
We will go on a “bear” hunt, to see what we can find. From Polar bears, to Seals, Caribou, to Orca Whales, this ecosystem is teeming with wildlife.
Strategically placed live web cams will allow us to see Polar Bears in their natural habitat.
There’s so much to do, and so little time. So, what are we waiting for? Let’s get started
Math:
Time to practice, practice, practice. Keep up with your long division.
Things should be getting progressively easier and easier for you and we will begin to go from large to larger numbers so you will need to increase in both speed and accuracy.
Attached at the bottom of the page are a video and worksheet.
