Agenda:

We are almost there.  Let’s rally and get through day 4.  Follow the link below for a summary of today’s activities. 

Vocabulary:

Today’s two new words are Eclipse and Pupil.  Use these in your Word Web to get more familiar with them.

Reading Comprehension/Literature:

We have been learning about reading comprehension and utilizing close reading strategies such as summarizing as well as more precise and specific analysis such as asking questions, making predictions, and inferences.

Today we will continue with reading comprehension skills and we will look more closely at this ability to analyze a character through his/her thoughts, feelings and actions.

Reading

Let’s continue on with The Lightning Thief.  Percy’s first meeting with his father Poseidon was unbelievable.  

I can’t wait to find out about and analyze his reactions and feelings about everything that has just happened to him on his trip to Mount Olympus.
